While drawing I imagine a character's attire, style, and personality. I incorporate this when coloring and drawing characters. Sometimes I incorporate type as a design element. I combined traditional and digital methods, sometimes including hand drawn type.

This is a series of portraits I created for a client. They are digital mixed media pieces that I created in photoshop. The first portrait I had free creative liberty, the second the client specifically asked for a blue portrait.

I am influenced by comic art, Japanese art, and fantasy art. I love illustrating in this style and using Adobe Photoshop for line art, airbrushing, and coloring.

I utilize Adobe Photoshop to repair rips, color, and missing parts of the image. I also retouch photos by manipulating the photo to add or remove unwanted pieces, add detail, and increase values.

When creating character designs and coloring, I hand draw the characters and color them in Photoshop and other times I just draw into Photoshop with my Wacom tablet. I also enjoy coloring hand drawn characters by my sister Heather Cason.
